Lake Central Cheer Shines at HCCA and ICC State Championships The Lake Central Varsity Cheerleaders continued to raise the bar this season with an outstanding showing at the HCCA 4A State Championships and the ICC State Championship. It was a memorable two-week stretch that added more hardware to the program’s growing collection. Last weekend, the Indians captured the HCCA 4A Gameday State Championship, delivering a dynamic routine. Their commanding performance earned them the top spot in a highly competitive 4A field and set the tone for yet another successful championship weekend. This weekend, Lake Central carried that momentum into the ICC State Championships, where they earned State Runner-Up honors in both the Varsity A/B Plus Timeout Division and the Varsity A Traditional Division. Their consistency across multiple routines was impressive. In addition to the team accolades, two Lake Central athletes received one of the highest individual honors in Indiana cheer. Ava Martinez and Aislinn Hayes were named to the Indiana All-State Team, a prestigious group composed of just 12 cheerleaders from across the entire state. Their selection reflects exceptional skill, leadership, and dedication to the sport. Congratulations to the entire Varsity Cheer program on an incredible run at the state level.
