Varsity vs Merrillville High School (7 - 1) Win The junior varsity (blue) and varsity boys' soccer teams headed to Merrillville to open their season and conference play yesterday. The junior varsity started things off on the right 'foot' by beating the Pirates 9-0. The varsity match finished with Lake Central winning 7-1 running their record to 1-0 and 1-0 in the DAC. The Indians were led by Charlie Newton who found the back of the net three times. Miller Knestrict added 2 goals and one assist. Lake Central will host Highland on Monday.
