Lake Central Sweeps Hanover Central on the Road The Lake Central girls’ basketball program put together a strong night on the road, earning victories at both the junior varsity and varsity levels against Hanover Central. In the JV matchup, the Indians controlled the game defensively and came away with a solid 29–21 win, setting the tone for the evening. The varsity squad followed with an impressive performance of their own, securing their second victory of the season, 37–31. Lake Central’s defensive intensity and balance carried them through a tight contest. Jill Beaderstadt led the way for the varsity team, finishing with 11 points and 9 rebounds, just shy of a double-double. Neila Ogden added 8 points off the bench. Freshman Allison Yott contributed across the board, filling the stat sheet with 4 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 6 deflections. With momentum building, Lake Central now turns its attention to Friday night when they host Hammond Bishop Noll. The program will also celebrate its youth AAU teams at halftime.
