Girls' Wrestling Opens DAC Matches

Lake Central Girls’ Wrestling Opens Conference Slate Against Portage and Chesterton The Lake Central girls’ wrestling team kicked off their conference schedule on Wednesday evening with strong individual performances across the lineup against Portage and Chesterton. At 105 pounds, Khloe Cortez battled through a competitive slate, while Genevieve Rogers shined at 115, finishing the night undefeated at 2-0. Victoria Bosio represented the Tribe at 120 pounds, continuing to anchor the middle weights. At 125, Peyton Knoll turned in a solid performance, going 1-1 on the evening. Nasira Callaway took the mat at 130 pounds, competing hard in each match. Caitlin Bice also delivered a standout night, finishing 2-0 in her matches. In the upper weights, Raven Preusser wrestled at 155, and Leany Gold-Hurrins capped off the duals with an impressive 2-0 showing. The Indians are back in action tomorrow at Clinton Prairie.
