Boys' Swimming Takes Care of Business in the IHSAA Sectional Preliminaries The boys' swimming team hosted 15 other teams in the IHSAA Swimming and Diving Sectional Preliminaries last night. LC's boys swam very well and put them in a position to top the field on Saturday, when the swimming and diving finals will take place. Diving prelims are at 9 am and the swimming and diving finals will begin at 1 pm. The gymnastics team finished out their DAC duals with a 6-1 record. Outstanding performances last night were turned in by Kailynn Paat with her 1st place finishes on the uneven bars, the balance beam, and in the All -Around. She also finished in 2nd place on vault. Sophia Rodriguez placed 3rd in the All-Around and 2nd on the uneven bars. Gabby Robbins placed 1st on vault and 3rd on the floor exercise. Gabby Arroyo had 3rd place finish on bars and beam, Marina Negrete placed 3rd on bars, and Emily Bishop took third on vault. The Indians will be competing at the DAC championships this Saturday at Chesterton's Bailly Elementary School.
