Girls' Tennis Knocks Off Rival Crown Point The girls' tennis team hosted the Crown Point Bulldogs last night and continued their dominant play in the conference winning 4-1. LC is now 10-2 overall and they will travel to Michigan City this evening. #1 Singles: Nora Karr (LC) def Natalia Svetanoff (CP) 6-1, 6-1 #2 Singles: Sai Chodavarapu (LC) def Jessica McDaniel (CP) 6-1, 6-0 #3 Singles: Katie Pepkowski (LC) def Cambrie Metzcus (CP) 7-5, 6-0 #1 Doubles: Jessica Harper / Mary Mumaugh (CP) def Andie Schultz / Lyla Hurey (LC) 6-4, 6-7 (5-7), 13-11 #2 Doubles: Tessa Murzyn / Mazy Redhead (LC) def Abby Vester / Chelsea Rosenbaum (CP) 6-3, 6-4 Volleyball Completes Perfect DAC Season For the second consecutive season the boys' volleyball team ran the table in the Duneland Athletic Conference. Yesterday, they traveled to La Porte to complete their 14-0 DAC season. The JV also swept the Slicers. LC will travel to Roncalli Saturday to take on state ranked #1. Baseball Defeats Morgan Township The Indians hosted the Morgan Township Cherokees last night. They raced out to 5-0 lead after 2, and ultimately, won 12-6. Owen Kopercinski earned the win tossing 4 innings. Kopercinski allowed 5 runs. JT Rozanski, in his first appearance of the season, was dominant in his 2 innings of work. He struck out 4 and allowed no hits. Anthony Sanchez tossed a strong 7th, allowing an unearned run. The Indians top of the order did the damage offensively: Keegan O'Bryan had 2 hits, scored 3 runs, and drove in 2; Parker Robinson drove in 3; and Brayden Walls had 2 RBIs. Catcher, Luke Moffitt pounded a triple to left center and also singled in the win. The Indians will host Warsaw on Saturday.
