Softball defeated Penn 5-0 in the IHSAA Semi-State semi-final to advance to the Championship game tonight. LC will play the winner of Westfield and Fort Wayne Carrol for a chance to go to the IHSAA State Championship next weekend in Lafayette. Maddie Such tossed a complete game gem, striking out 12 and allowing just five hits against state ranked #3 Penn. Such also added a 2-RBI double. Madi Wainwright added an RBI double. Tegan Tripp hit a solo HR in the 7th, and Emma Wilkins had a run scoring single.
