The victory secured Lake Central's fourth state championship in program history and completed an outstanding 31-2 campaign for the Indians. Lake Central's powerful offense was on full display as the Indians launched three home runs, including a rocket grand slam from Emma Wilkins that helped propel the team to the state title. Tegan Tripp and MaKayla Van Vossen also connected for home runs in the victory. Tripp paced the offense with three hits and scored two runs, continuing her outstanding postseason performance on the state's biggest stage. In the circle, Maddie Such delivered a championship-caliber performance. The junior scattered seven hits while striking out seven batters, allowing just two runs to earn the complete-game victory.
