The past week the Lake County Council extended congratulations and praise to the Lake Central Baseball and Softball teams for capturing IHSAA State Championships. Softball was victorious over Terre Haute North Vigo on Friday, June 12th by a score of 9-2. Baseball defeated Bloomington South on Saturday, June 20th by a score of 4-0. This was just the 3rd time in IHSAA history this feat was accomplished by the same school. This culminated the best spring season in IHSAA history.
