***Girls' Golf at Palmira GC--Lake Central 155 Crown Point 163 Lake Central shot a 155 at Palmira (front, Par 35) to defeat Crown Point (163) and move to 3-0 in the DAC. The Indians will play two more DAC matches tonight at Chesterton as they take on the Michigan City Wolves and host Trojans. Julia Ponnezhan 65 Taylor Kerner 52 Becky Clark 47 Lilly Pierce 50 Ella De Young 66 ***Boys' Soccer Starts 1-0 in DAC Play The boys' soccer team moved to 1-1 on the season and 1-0 in the challenging Duneland Athletic Conference with a 1-0 win over the host Crown Point Bulldogs. A'youb Hamed scored an early 2nd half goal off a rebound on an Ethan Tarry free kick; this proved to be all of the offense LC would need to secure a victory. The defense gave a tremendous effort to hold the Bulldogs scoreless. Connor Billmeyer had 9 saves behind goal for LC. The Indians will take on state power Penn on Saturday at Lake Central. The JV team also defeated the Bulldogs. Rowan Lolkema and Justin Desiderio were outstanding in the combined effort behind goal. Desiderio had an enormous penalty kick save at the end of regulation to preserve the shutout. Jacob Jagadich scored the lone goal on a John Bley assist just before the half.
