**Girls' Golf Crowned Outright DAC CHAMPS The Lake Central Girls' Golf team continues to put together another memorable season, celebrating both a DAC Championship and a special Senior Night victory. The Lady Indians captured the DAC Championship outright after traveling to Sand Creek to compete in the conference championship. Lake Central fired an impressive team score of 337 to bring home the title and complete its third consecutive undefeated season in DAC competition. Over the past three seasons, the Lake Central Girls Golf program has compiled an absolutely remarkable 42-0 record in conference play, demonstrating championship excellence. The Indians were led at the DAC Championship by Katelyn Benda, who fired a 76 to finish second overall. Piper Urbanski earned fifth-place medalist honors with an 85, while Maya Parks tied for sixth place after posting an 87. The championship celebration continued on Senior Night as the Lady Indians hosted Munster at Palmira Golf Course. Lake Central earned another impressive victory, defeating the Mustangs by a score of 160-170. Benda once again led the way for LC, shooting a one-over-par 36. The night also featured outstanding performances from Alex Schilling and Cora McCall, as both golfers posted their season-low scores. Schilling fired an impressive 38, while McCall finished with a 43. The junior varsity also defeated Munster by an impressive 17 strokes. From another perfect conference season to a DAC Championship and a Senior Night victory, it has been a special stretch for the Lake Central girls golf.
