**Boys' Soccer Wins at LaPorte JV--Lake Central 4 LaPorte 0 V--Lake Central 5 LaPorte 1 The junior varsity started the night off in positive fashion defeating the host Slicers 4-0. Justin Desiderio and Rown Lolkema, combined with the defense, pitched a shutout behind goal. Lolkema had 2 saves. LC was led by Colby Mestrich's 2 goals. John Bley and Damian Castro each found the back of the net for the Indians. Leo Bruggeman, Felipe Meneghetti, and Leo Kaczmarczyk each had an assist. The varsity squad picked up right where the JV left off and defeated LaPorte 5-1. The points started on an 'own goal.' A'youb Hamed, Aaron Puch, Mikey Dorneanu, and Mestrich each added goals of their own. Joey Serna had 2 assists, and Ethan Brewer and Levi Schuh each added an assist. The Indians are now 5-5 overall and 4-0 in the DAC. They'll play the Merrillville Pirates on Monday in a rescheduled early season contest and look to stay atop the standings in the DAC.
