The Indians posted a team score of 330, finishing six strokes ahead of runner-up Munster to secure the sectional title and punch their ticket to the IHSAA Regional. Leading the way for Lake Central was freshman standout Katelyn Benda, who captured low medalist honors with around of 73, finishing just one over par. Benda's championship performance highlighted a tremendous day for the Indians and established her as the top individual golfer in the field. Piper Urbanski also turned in an exceptional performance, finishing second overall with an 80. Alexandra Schilling contributed an 88, while Maya Parks carded an 89. Cora McCall rounded out the Indians' scoring lineup with a 97. With the sectional championship secured, the Indians now turn their attention to the IHSAA Regional, scheduled for Saturday at Sandy Pines Golf Club. Lake Central will look to continue its postseason success and defend its 2025 IHSAA Regional Championship as the Indians pursue another trip deeper into the state tournament. **The DAC released its All-Conference Girls' Golf team. The Indians had 3 girls earn all-conference honors: Katelyn Benda, Piper Urbanski and Alex Schilling. The Indians finished 14-0 overall earning the DAC team title once again.
