Lake Central High School

The Lady Indian wrestlers traveled to Southport to participate in The Gobbler Invitational. Three Indians had noteworthy finishes. Riley Nunez finished in 6th place in the 134-44 pound weight class. Kirsten Cortez, in the 100-108 pound weight class was an individual champion defeating a Roncalli wrestler in a 6-3 decision in the finals. Elly Janovsky also was a champion in the 141-52 pound weight class winning by fall over Decatur Central. This was the second consecutive tournament win for both Cortez and Janovsky.
