Lake Central's Girls Track and Field team began its 2024 season Thursday night at home, hosting Rensselaer in a non-scoring meet. Nikki Vollrath, Sydney Churilla, and Stasia Thompson+9- and Krystian Dilosa were standouts for LC, with Vollrath winning the 1600 and 3200; Churilla the 800, anchoring the 4 x 800 relay, and assisting on the winning 4 x 400; and Thompson winning the 55 hurdles and anchoring the winning 4 x 200 and 4 x 400 relay. LC travels to Kenosha, Wisconsin Friday, March 15 to take part in the 45-team Lake Michigan Invitational.
