Jolie Adams and Kate Renschen Enter the Record Books

On April 30th, Kate Renschen swiped a base against Lowell giving her the all-time stolen base career record for Lake Central softball. IN GAME ANNOUNCEMENT: Ladies and gentlemen that is stolen base number 48 for junior Kate Renschen. She is now the all-time career stolen base record holder at Lake Central. Kate also holds the single season stolen base record with 25 this year, breaking her own record of 23 from last year. She needed just 64 games played to accomplish this feat. The previous record holder was Laura Carlascio in 2001. Let’s give Kate a tremendous round of applause for becoming the greatest base stealer in Lake Central history." On April 31st, Jolie Adams went 4-4 against Chesterton to earn her 175th career hit making her the all-time hits leader for Lake Central softball. IN GAME ANNOUNCEMENT: "Ladies and gentlemen that hit marks the 175th career hit for senior Jolie Adams. Jolie is now the all-time career hit leader at Lake Central, breaking Indiana Hall of Famer Kelly Komara’s previous record of 174 in 1998. Jolie entered her senior season with 140 hits and needed just 23 games to equal and break the feat. Let’s give Jolie a tremendous round of applause for becoming the best hitter of all time in the winningest program in Indiana history."
