Lake Central High School

The Lake Central baseball team captured it's second consecutive Regional Championship on Monday defeating the Chesterton Trojans 2-0. Griffin Tobias tossed a 3-hit shutout picking up the victory. He was dominant all game long. Quinn O'Bryan had an RBI in the 1st and Ryder Fernandez one in the fifth. Fernandez's sac fly scored Drew Kosteba who went airborne to cross home plate, earning a Sports Center Top 10 pick. LC will head to the Lafayette Jefferson Semi-State and play Westfield at 10 am CST at Loeb Stadium. The winner of game 1 will face the winner of Homestead and Concord at 6 pm CST for the chance to go play for a state championship.
