Junior Varsity vs Merrillville High School Win 9-0 Varsity vs Merrillville High School Win 9-0 The Lady Indians started their season fast scoring 9 goals to open 1-0 overall and 1-0 in DAC play. Lake Central defeated Merrillville 9-0. Olivia Pelot earned her first shut out of the season in goal. Point scorers were plentiful in this one-- Leah Rocha 3 goals; Liana Navarro 2 goals/2 assists); Phoebe Fogarty 2 goals, Bella Soria 1 goal; Faty Cervantes 1 goal/1 assist; Finley Golder 2 assists; and Claire Widstrand, Madison Southhard, and Olivia Connelly each had 1 assist. Lake Central travels to the South Bend St. Joseph Invitational this weekend to take on some tough competition.
