Lake Central High School

The girls' basketball team played three times over the Thanksgiving break. In the 1st game, they opened DAC play and defeated the Chesterton Trojans 55-33. Bella Soria poured in a career and team high 16 points. Vanessa Wimberly and Ayla Krygier had 15 and 14 points respectively. On this night, we welcomed back those from the 2023-24 State Runner-Up team for the presentation of their rings. LC then traveled to Indianapolis to take on North Central in the first game of a classic. They defeated NC 51-42. Wimberly led the way with 19 and Krygier had 12. The JV was also victorious 45-23. In the final game, LC dropped a tough one to Avon by a score of 53-50. Once again Wimberly and Krygier led the way with 20 and 16. The JV defeated Avon 40-28. LC will host Munster in teacher appreciation night tonight.
