Lake Central had to win on back-to-back nights in the Crown Point Sectional this past weekend. On Friday night, in the semi-finals they squared off against rival Munster. The Indians earned a 47-25 victory over the Mustangs. This moved LC to 17-7 overall on the season. Vanessa Wimberly was dominant in this game: She had a team high 14 points, grabbed 4 boards, had 3 assists and 4 steals. Also scoring in double figures was Ayla Krygier with 12 and Bella Soria with 10. Bryn Leonard had a team high 6 rebounds. On Saturday, seeking their 4th consecutive Sectional Championship, Lake Central fell to the Hammond Central Wolves 30-26 in a game that went back and forth the entire night. Lake Central's season finished at 17-8 overall. Ayla Krygier led LC in this one with 14 of the 26 points; she also had a team high 6 rebounds and 3 steals.
