Golf Wins LC Invite

Lake Central hosted its annual girls' golf invitational on Wednesday. It was the third tournament in three days for the Indians. The team shot an incredible 330 at the difficult Palmira Golf Course to earn the team championship in the 12 team field. All 5 varsity starters fired in the 80s and lower to equal a season best team total. Allie Huppenthal led the way with a 75, which was good enough for 2nd place overall in the 60 player field. Victoria Schilling (85), Piper Urbanski (84), Alex Schilling (87) and Maya Parks (86) rounded out the varsity line-up with excellent play. The girls aren't taking any time off and they're getting ready to tee off in the NorthWood Invitational this morning. The LC JV team also had a nice day on the course for their first appearance of the young season. They finished 6th overall, ahead of 4 varsity teams.
