Girls' Golf @ Crown Point (Youche Country Club) Lake Central shot a 173 at Youche CC (front 9, par 36) and beat the host Bulldogs on a 5th score by 1 stroke! The Indians are now 1-0 in DAC play. They'll head to Beechwood in La Porte next Wednesday for a triangular against the host Slicers and Merrillville Pirates. Each team started fast and cruised to a 9-0 victory to start 1-0 in Duneland play. Goals were scored by Ella Crowley, Claire Widstrand, Phoebe Fogarty, True Taylor, Mia Felus, Emma Murphy, and Zoe Panzica. Assists came from Claire Widstrand, Zoe Panzica, Mia Felus, True Taylor, and Olivia Connelly. Both goalkeepers, Olivia Kleckner and Abby Grncick, each recorded a save and combined to keep the shutout.The Indians will take this momentum to South Bend St. Joe this weekend, where they will take on SBSJ on Friday and Goshen on Saturday.
