Indians Advance to Sectional Final with Commanding Win Over Merrillville (3-0) The Lake Central boys’ soccer team punched their ticket to the sectional championship with an impressive performance against the Merrillville Pirates at home, securing a 3–0 victory in the semifinal match. The Indians wasted no time taking control, scoring all three goals in the first half. Evan Crowley led the charge with two goals, while Joey Serna added another to cap off the dominant opening stretch. Ethan Tarry set up two of the goals with sharp passes into the box, and Mikey Dorneanu added an assist of his own. On the defensive end, Connor Billmeyer was flawless in goal, recording the clean sheet to preserve the shutout and ensure Lake Central’s advancement to the Sectional Championship at home on Saturday against Munster. The Indians now look ahead to the sectional championship, carrying strong momentum and confidence into the final.
