Lake Central Dominates Hammond Central in Sectional Semifinal Victory The Lake Central girls soccer team advanced to the sectional championship in commanding fashion with a 9–0 victory over Hammond Central. From the opening whistle, the Indians set the tone with relentless play on both ends of the field. Lake Central’s offense came alive early and never let up, showcasing balanced scoring and unselfish play throughout the match. The defense remained steady, keeping Hammond Central without a shot on goal as the Indians secured their eighth shutout of the season. With the win, Lake Central (13-2) moves on to the sectional championship game, carrying strong momentum and confidence as they look to capture a title against rival Crown Point.
