IHSAA State Finals Cross Country @ Lavern Gibson Championship Course Boys' Results: https://www.tfrrs.org/results/xc/26249#event176069 The Indians qualified two runners for the IHSAA State Finals on Saturday: Senior Ben Perschon and sophomore Lucca Neves. Lucca Neves finished an impressive 32nd place out of the 250 runners in a time of 15:49. Neves narrowly missed out of the medal podium as the top 25 earn one. Ben Perschon finished in 84th place in a time of 16:21. This brought an end to Perschon's storied LC career. The Indians were led by standout junior Macey Thompson, who earned state runner-up honors and set a new school record with a time of 17:18. Joining her among the state’s best was Lana Bruggeman, who earned All-State recognition by placing 24th overall with a strong time of 18:13. Also contributing to the team’s success were Sara Filippo, Aubrey Neal, Chloe Neal, Kate Smith, and Anna Brumm, helping Lake Central secure a 13th-place team finish in the state.
