Lake Central Boys Tennis Team Supports Local Veterans Through Operation Charlie Bravo Fundraiser The Lake Central boys tennis team demonstrated the power of teamwork this week through a meaningful philanthropic initiative benefiting local veterans. Partnering with Lowell High School, the two programs held a joint fundraiser in support of Operation Charlie Bravo, a Crown Point–based nonprofit organization dedicated to helping veterans reconnect, heal, and find support through hands-on activities and community engagement. Together, Lake Central and Lowell raised more than $3,200 for the organization—funds that will go directly toward the wishes of Operation Charlie Bravo. To cap off the fundraising effort, members of both teams visited Operation Charlie Bravo yesterday, where they shared breakfast with the veterans and had the opportunity to tour the facility. The visit allowed student-athletes to see firsthand the positive impact their contribution will make, as well as hear stories from veterans who have benefited from the group’s mission. The teams were able to see how their monetary donations the last few years has been used. The Lake Central boys tennis team’s involvement reflects a commitment to service beyond athletics—showing what it means to lead not only on the court, but in the community. Lake Central extends its gratitude to everyone who supported the fundraiser and helped make a difference for Operation Charlie Bravo and the veterans it proudly serves.
