**Boys' JV and V XC Wins Bob Thomas Invitational Full Race Results: https://www.athletic.net/CrossCountry/meet/275046/info The boys' junior varsity and varsity cross country teams earned 1st place team finishes at the Bob Thomas Invitational at Lowell High School on Saturday. Lucca Neves won the varsity race in a course and meet record time of 16:00 minutes. The next runner behind Neves was nearly a minute behind. Vincenzo Pomilia finished in 5th in a time of 17:14; Roman Kaszowicz was 10th overall in 17:33; and James Baxter ran a 17:48 for a 15th place finish. The point scorers led LC to the team championship with 59 points. The junior varsity team finished 1st as well. Harper Whiteman was the race champion. They were led by Macey Thompson who took 4th overall running a time of 17:40. Lana Bruggeman took 5th running a time of 17:57, Chloe Neal took 11th running a time of 18:34, and Willow Bruggeman took 20th running a time of 19:05. The JV team competed at the Bob Thomas Invite where they took 6th in the varsity race and were led by Marina Negrete and they took 2nd in the JV race and were led by Izabella Cavazos. **Girls' Golf Takes Second in the Pat Ford Invitational Lake Central shot a 331 (Beechwood GC, par 73) at the Pat Ford Invitational and finished 2nd as a team. Freshman Katelyn Benda finished in a tie for 2nd overall with a 74. Piper Urbanski fired a strong 82; Alex Schilling chipped in an 86; Maya Parks shot an 89; and Cora McCall shot a 104. The Indians travel to Innsbrook Country Club to take on Andrean this afternoon. **Boys' Tennis Finishes 2-1 at the Concord Invite The Indians played both at Penn and Concord High Schools on Saturday finishing 2-1 on the day. They earned quality wins against Mishawaka Marian and Concord and they fell to Penn. The Indians fell to the Lions 1-3. Joey Serna scored the first goal of the game in the early minutes of the second half to put LC up 1-0, before Elkhart reeled off 3 goals for the victory. The Indians travel to Munster this evening. The JV fell 0-4. **Girls' Soccer Ties State Ranked Warsaw A very strong Warsaw Tigers team came to Lake Central on Saturday. The JV started things off on a positive note winning commandingly 7-0. The varsity match was tough and physical. LC outshot Warsaw but could not find the back of the net as this one ended in a draw (0-0). Liv Kleckner and the defense pitched another shutout. In the JV match, Lily Baker made 3 saves. Sydney Retheford made 1 save in the combined shut out. Natalie Rivera scored two goals. Violet Santay, Ady Miller, Natalie Aranda, Ava Baker, and Daneen Issa all scored a goal. Ady Miller chipped in two assists, and Quinn Shank had 2 assists. Ava Baker had one assist. **Volleyball Goes 0-2 at Southeastern Showcase LC 0 Hamilton Southeastern 3 LC 0 Westfield 3 The Indians took on two powerful teams on Saturday at Hamilton Southeastern High School in the Southeastern Showcase. They were swept in both contests. The Indians travel to Munster tonight and host a strong LaPorte Slicers team tomorrow. The Indians are 7-6 overall and 5-1 (2nd place) in DAC play.
