Boys' Tennis @ Valparaiso V--LC 4 Valparaiso 1 #1S: Ethan Cordova (LC) def Parker Frailey (V) 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 #2S: Lukas McNulty-Brown (V) def Joe Rieger (LC) 6-4, 6-4 #3S: Camryn Lavery (LC) def Kyle Foreman (V) 7-6 (7-5), 6-3 #1D: Tony Zervos / Joe Devine (LC) def Minh Kha Do / Tyler Graf (V) 6-2, 6-2 #2D: Wade Smith / Keri Conrath (LC) def Logan McNulty-Brown / Jaxson Pfiefer (V) 6-7 (5-7), 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 The Indians went on the road to face-off against a tough Valparaiso team and earned a 4-1 victory. This was the first time the boys have defeated the Vikings since 2010. LC's record is now 10-3 overall and 4-1 in the DAC. LC will host La Porte on Thursday: The two teams will battle for the second spot in the DAC, pending next week's match as well. The Indians swept the Slicers 3-0 (25-13, 25-18, 25-19) in the varsity match. The JV won 2-0 and had a huge comeback in the 1st set. Roll Tribe! The Indians were led by Kailey Skurka’s 12 kills and 3 aces; Lexi Iwema’s 10 kills and 5 digs; Alina Williams and Ari Carter-Reed combined for 11 kills; Izzy Steliga had 16 assists , 7 digs, and 2 aces; and Brooklyn Barth had 18 digs and 3 aces. The Indians will host Valparaiso on Thursday.
