Junior Varsity vs Merrillville High School Win (8-0) Varsity vs Merrillville High School Win (5-0) Last night, the Lake Central boys soccer team delivered an outstanding performance, defeating the Merrillville Pirates with a commanding score of 5-0. LC moves to 1-0 overall and 1-0 in the DAC. The junior varsity was also victorious, defeating the Pirates 8-0. Here are the highlights from the game: Goals: Xavier Rivera scored twice, with additional goals from George Karabatsos, Tito Gomez, and Evan Crowley. Assists: Key assists came from George Karabatsos, Tye Adams, Ethan Terry, and Xavier Rivera. Saves: The LC goalkeepers had a strong showing with Matt Newton making 2 saves and Connor Billmeyer adding 1 save to the tally. Tye Adams and Tito Gomez, Indian Captains, showed great leadership on and off the field. Congratulations to the entire team for their victory. LC will play South Bend St. Joe on Saturday and Highland on Monday
